How do I enter my score?
Log In with your Track My Handicap username and password provided to you when you registered. Once you have logged in,
click on the button “Add New Score” then simply fill in the information that follows. You can either
choose from a list of courses you’ve already posted, or create a new course. For each course you create,
you will need to provide the tees you played and the corresponding course rating,
and slope for those tees on that particular course. You can find that information on your scorecard.
Post comments about your round if you want. If you only played 9 holes, uncheck the box that says…
“This is an 18 hole score”. Hit the button “Add Score” and you will be taken back to you’re
MyHandicap page where your handicap index will be calculated.

What is an Handicap Index?
Your handicap index is your official USGA calculated handicap. More information on the formula used to calculate your handicap index,
click here. However, this is not your “
handicap”,as you will need to use your “handicap index” to calculate your “course handicap”
each time you play a new course. For a good course handicap calculator,

What does my Handicap Index say N/A?
If you are a new member, you will need to post at least 5 scores in order for us to calculate your handicap index.
Once you have posted 5 scores, the N/A will turn into a number that represents your handicap index.

Do I need to adjust my score before I post?
Yes. The USGA requires you to post “adjusted” scores to officially calculate your handicap. If you had any “blow up” holes much
higher than usual, you will need to adjust that score according to the table below. This does not adjust what you scored for the day,
but adjusts what score you enter at Track My Handicap. To get your adjusted score, adjust any “blow up” holes according to the table below.

Is My Handicap an 18 hole or 9 hole handicap?
Track My Handicap offers an 18 hole handicap. However, if you are like most of us and play nine holes occasionally, you can post your 9 hole scores and we will combine two of them to get an "combined 18 hole score". Even if you play two different courses, we will average the two different slope and rating numbers to correctly apply it to your handicap index.

Can I post a 9 hole score?
Yes. You can post 9 hole scores and still get an accurate handicap index. Here's how we do it... When you post a nine hole score, uncheck the box that says "18 hole score". We will capture your information and combine it with a future 9 hole score to create a "combined 18 hole score". If you are posting the first 9 hole score, it will not immediately be reflected in the handicap calculation. Once you have posted another 9 hole score, the two scores will be combined into one 18 hole score, and be applied to your handicap index. If you play two different courses, we will average the slope and rating for each course played.
Although most courses will only offer an 18 hole rating, a small percentage of courses will give you a 9 hole rating. Please do not use a 9 hole rating when you post your 9 hole scores as it will adversly affect the formula. If a nine hole rating is all that is provided by the course you have played, simply double it to get an 18 hole rating.
